Shaáron Anthony Lewis fell in love with Test cricket on television. He adored fast bowler Jerome Taylor and he watched his game closely. He observed keenly  how Taylor would swing the ball and how consistent he was. Using Taylor as his inspiration, he would go outside and practice bowling until he got it right on target.

As a young boy, Shaáron started doing cricket sports camps during the summer vacations. It was at summer camps he met a cricketer that saw his unique talent and took him to his club in Arima, Trinidad, where he would later meet former West Indies fast bowler Tony Gray. His journey to international cricket started from there and the rest is history. Shaáron Lewis has “No Plan B”. To quote him, “It’s Do or Die!”

He grew up watching cricket with his grandfather who was a firm supporter of the West Indies cricket team. When he was old enough he took him out in the yard and would throw balls at him to hit with a small bat that he had. Eventually he fell in love with playing the sport and never stopped playing the game from then.
